LAURA WAGNER
When Laura Wagner discovered her love for spirits and hospitality, she delved in deep. Most notably, Laura is proud of the beverage program she built while managing at Il Lazzarone in the River Market - the opportunity to explore her love of fortified wines and amari. There’s a good chance you’ve imbibed on one of her cocktails during one of her stints at Local Pig, Rieger, SoT, AEP, or The Monarch Bar before finding a home here at The Restaurant at 1900. In addition to bartending and consulting, Laura is the Director of Operations for Paris of the Plains Cocktail Festival and currently serves as Treasurer on the local Bartenders’ Guild chapter. Laura is passionate about promoting mental health and advancing Kansas City’s hospitality community through education and professional development.

EMILY KATZ
With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, Emily Katz has always had a passion for all things wine. Most recently, she honed her skills as the General Manager and Wine Director of the acclaimed Novel Restaurant. It was there that she developed a love for dynamic food and wine pairings. She thoughtfully curated a wine list championing small production, sustainable and biodynamic wines. Through her dedication and commitment to showcasing small producers, she enlightened staff and guests alike; introducing the community to lesser known regions and varietals, and helping to pioneer the way for these special wines to make it to the forefront of the Kansas City dining scene.
