THE MEZCAL TASTES
Del Maguey Chichicapa

One of the foundational mezcals from Del Maguey, Faustino Garcia’s Chichicapa is balanced and aromatic. The town of San Baltazar Chichicapam is dry and tropical, depending on the time of year, with banana trees, guava, and mangoes, and there is more than a little tropical note (think pineapple) to this.

Del Maguey Las Milpas
Nearby the stills where Chichicapa is made, and above the town of San Dionisio Ocotopec Anastacio Cruz and his sons distill mezcal from 100% espadin, just like Chichicapa. Both utilize copper pot stills and, with everything nearly the same, the two mezcals are radically different.

El Jolgorio Tobala
For many of us, tobala is the sub-type that produces Mezcal of great richness and weight, though it is also the smallest (actually, tiniest) of the agaves we distill.

Del Maguey Pechuga
This rare Mezcal is more talked about than seen, and rarely tasted.

Mystery Mezcal
…and because we are obsessed with mezcal, and because you deserve it, we will include a little mystery mezcal, from an obscure sub-type of maguey plant and a truly great distiller.

$85 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

All tasting kits will come with a copita to sip your mezcals from! The kits will be ready for pick-up prior to the event - you will select your pick-up time using the booking button below and you may call us at 913-730-1900, if you prefer. A zoom link for the tasting will be sent out the morning of the event.
