This July 29th, the patio at The Restaurant at 1900 turns into a laid-back tasting spot with a lineup of crisp, chilled, and complex sakes.
Come taste what the wonderful world of sake has to offer. Doug Frost, MSMW, will provide an afternoon of sake tasting, history, facts, and more! As always, mid-day snacks will be provided by Chef Linda Duerr. Expect fun flavors, relaxed energy, and a great way to celebrate the Summer of Sake at 1900!
This event is on our beautiful patio at 1900 -- please dress for the occasion! We do have umbrellas, sun shades, and fans to help keep you cool and shielded from the sun. The food for this event will be a set menu and we may not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, we kindly ask that you call before booking to discuss your options. Thank you!
A sneak peek on what we will cover, from Doug Frost: "Sake is nearly as diverse as wine, both in its crafting and its flavors. We’ve collected sakes that we think are particularly delicious and relevant as one of the world’s classic drinks is being elevated in the 21st century. We’ll taste sakes from breweries founded in the 19th century, including a very special sake produced by a seventh-generation brewer, as well as a new sake from Japan’s second oldest brewery (founded in 1487)."
